A Portrait

STEPS:
1) I drew this portrait of my friend on paper with a graphite pencil
2) xeroxed it through the photocopying machine.
3) appled a thick gloss medium gel on the print
4) pasted the wet side onto the wooden canvas
5) waited a few hours for it to dry..
6) soaked the whole canvas in water and slowly rubbed away thin layers of paper until the image appeared

    :O cool. I finally get it! I didn’t realize it was the wet side that was pasted onto the wooden canvas, so all this time I was confused about how things on paper can just transfer onto the block.

    Does it only work with ink on paper of some sort? So if you tried transferring your original to the block nothing would show up?
