It consists of near 100 pages of full color photographs of each frame from the stop action shorts. As for the assemblage of book, I sewed all of the pages together with thread and covered it up with bookbinding tape!

I’m excited to draw/sketch/gouache randomly around Paris with my sister. Oh and not to mention: Stop Action Shorts! Write, write, write music? (maybe..)

What to bring?
Note to self: Conte, charcoal, sketchbook, watercolor paper, Nikon D40, polaroid camera, macbook, music.

I’ve uploaded a series of polaroids at the gallery section of my site (there’s still more to add but I’ll upload them later.

Most of the pieces belong to my series (still contemplating about a title), but.. it relates to memory and childhood. The polaroids are of significant areas and memories that I remember from my child at my hometown (Winnipeg) I’ll write up an artist statement later once the rest of the series has been uploaded.

Here is my large-scale piece in progress. I’ve spent almost 5 hours on it so far… The fine lines are quite tedious, still getting use to the brush thing.

(People playing curling) Oh yes there will be many more people in it once I’m done with this.

I’m using the same color scheme (will add in maroon) throughout my prairie life pieces.

I have a some Winnipeg friends lined up that will be featured in paintings (slowly but surely it will get completed). What am I going to do with all of these small scale pieces? Stick them into a small book of course. They’re just practice pieces, but it’s definitely helping me work with gouache & brushwork.

Some gestures (trying to practice daily with gouache & charcoal). Hopefully gesture drawings will help add more movement in my drawings!
