I love Polaroids because they truly capture “the moment” as it happens, it’s raw, candid and pure (no photoshopping or retaking shots!).
Thanks to my procrastination of buying Polaroid films, I spent around $90 today on 60 Polaroid 600 camera film sheets (which I’ve purchased off Ebay). The price has been increasing quite a bit since Polaroid has announced that they will stop the production of their instant camera & films! What sucks even more is the fact that these films do expire (the ones I got expire on: 2/09) which means I can’t use these films for products in the future (2020 to be specific).
Anyways, here is my idea:
- I am going to purchase more Polaroid films (Ideally 100+)
- Starting from the moment I get my first tattoo next month, I am going to capture many moments of my new “chapter” of life (AKA: First year @ OCAD) via Polaroid films.
-> Final step: I need to figure out how to compile all of these Polaroid films for my project somehow, I have a year to plan this out anyways
Until then, I need to gather as many Polaroid 600 films that I can afford for this project ![]()
